Campaigns

What are Campaigns?

Understand how campaigns work in SMLLR and when they are useful.

What is a Campaign?

A Campaign is a folder or group that contains multiple QR codes. Campaigns allow you to:
- Organise related QR codes together (e.g. all QR codes for a product launch, or all QR codes for a specific client)
- See combined analytics for all QR codes in a campaign on one screen
- Compare the performance of multiple campaigns side by side
- Set an expiry date that automatically deactivates all QR codes in the campaign at once

Think of campaigns like project folders — each folder holds the QR codes that belong to that project, and you can see the total results for the whole folder at a glance.

Example Campaign Use Cases

  • Product launch — create a campaign for a new product launch and add all QR codes from the launch materials (packaging, display, social, print ads) to it

  • Restaurant seasonal menu — one campaign per season with QR codes for each table, takeaway bag, and counter display

  • Client management (agencies) — one campaign per client to keep QR codes separated and generate per-client reports

  • Event — a campaign for an event with QR codes for the invite, schedule, map, feedback form, and merchandise

  • Monthly promotions — a new campaign each month, making it easy to compare month-over-month performance

Campaigns vs Just Naming Your QR Codes

You could organise QR codes by putting the project name in the QR code's internal name (e.g. 'Diwali Sale — Menu Table 1'). Campaigns are more powerful because they give you:
- Combined analytics — total scans, devices, locations for the whole campaign with one click
- Side-by-side comparison — compare two campaigns' performance head-to-head
- Bulk expiry — set one expiry date and all QR codes in the campaign deactivate together
- Cleaner organisation — filter and search your QR code list by campaign
