Campaign Expiry — Auto-Deactivating QR Codes

How to set a campaign end date that automatically deactivates all its QR codes when the campaign ends.

What is Campaign Expiry?

When you set an expiry date on a campaign, all QR codes inside that campaign are automatically deactivated when that date and time arrives. Scans after the expiry show the SMLLR 'expired' page.

This is useful when:
- You have a time-limited promotion with many QR codes on different materials
- You want to ensure seasonal QR codes stop working after the season ends without manually disabling each one
- You are running a campaign on behalf of a client with a fixed end date

How to Set Campaign Expiry

Campaign expiry deactivates QR codes automatically and irreversibly at the set time. To reactivate them, you need to either remove the expiry date from the campaign or manually re-activate each QR code.

1

Go to Campaigns and open the campaign

Click Campaigns in the sidebar, then click the campaign you want to expire.

2

Click Edit Campaign

Click the Edit button on the campaign detail page.

3

Set the expiry date

In the Expiry Date field, select the date and time when the campaign should end. All QR codes in the campaign will deactivate at this moment.

4

Save

Click Save Changes.
