Scheduled Redirects
Route scans to different URLs based on the day of the week or time of day — perfect for time-sensitive offers and operating hours.
What are Scheduled Redirects?
Scheduled Redirects let you route QR code scans to different URLs based on the current day and time at the moment of the scan. You define time windows, and for each window, specify a destination URL.
Outside of all defined time windows, scans go to the default URL.
Available on the Pro plan and above. Times are evaluated in IST (India Standard Time).
When to Use It
Restaurant menus — show the breakfast menu 8am–11am, lunch menu 12pm–3pm, and dinner menu 6pm–10pm, all from a single QR code on the table
Happy hour promotions — redirect to the offer page only during the happy hour window
Weekday vs weekend offers — different promotions on weekdays vs weekends from the same printed QR code
Opening hours — redirect to a 'We are closed, here are our hours' page outside business hours
Event day routing — on the day of the event, redirect to live updates; before the event, redirect to registration
How to Set It Up
Open the QR editor → Settings tab
Go to QR Codes, open the QR you want to configure, click Edit, and go to the Settings tab.
Add a Redirect Rule
Click + Add Rule and select Scheduled Redirect.
Select the days
Choose which days of the week this rule applies to. You can select individual days or groups (e.g. weekdays only, or specific days like Mon, Wed, Fri).
Set the time window
Enter the start time and end time for the active window (e.g. 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM). Times are in IST.
Enter the destination URL
Paste the URL that scans during this time window should be sent to.
Add more time windows if needed
Click + Add Another Window to add additional time ranges with different destinations (e.g. breakfast URL, lunch URL, dinner URL).
Save
Click Save Changes.
What if Time Windows Overlap?
If two scheduled rules overlap (e.g. Rule A covers 9am–5pm and Rule B covers 2pm–4pm), the rule with the highest priority (the one listed first) takes precedence during the overlapping period. Arrange your rules carefully to avoid unintended overlaps.
