Capturing and Importing Leads
The three ways a lead enters Lead Hub: the QR Lead Capture Gate, landing page forms, and CSV import.
Three Ways a Lead Reaches You
| Source | What It Is | Plan Required |
|---|---|---|
QR Lead Capture Gate | A short form shown around a QR code's redirect, collecting a phone number or email before the scanner reaches the destination | Pro and above |
Landing Page form | A lead-capture form block placed directly on a SMLLR landing page | Wherever landing pages are available on your plan |
CSV Import | Upload a spreadsheet of existing contacts directly into Lead Hub | Pro and above |
Setting Up a QR Lead Capture Gate
Open a QR code
Go to QR Codes, then edit an existing dynamic QR code or create a new one.
Enable the Lead Capture Gate
In the QR configuration steps, turn on the Lead Capture Gate option (Pro plan and above).
Choose what to collect
Configure whether the gate asks for a phone number, an email, or both, and whether it's required before the redirect fires.
Save
Every scan that submits the gate now creates or merges into a Lead Hub record automatically.
Importing Leads via CSV
CSV import is available on the Pro plan and above, from Leads Hub → Import Leads. The file is parsed entirely in your browser in chunks — each row is validated and normalized (phone numbers to E.164, emails lowercased) before being committed. Rows that fail validation are reported so you can fix or skip them, without blocking the rest of a large import.
Keep one contact per row with a clear phone or email column. A row missing both a valid phone and a valid email cannot be imported as a lead.
If Leads Hub Is Locked
Leads Hub itself requires a Pro plan or above. If you're on Basic or Free, the Leads Hub entry in your dashboard sidebar shows a lock icon instead of opening the page, and takes you to the Subscription page to upgrade. Once you're on Pro or above, Leads Hub — including CSV Import — is fully available.
