Upgrading Your Plan

How to upgrade your SMLLR subscription — including how carry-forward days work.

How to Upgrade

Upgrades take effect immediately — you do not need to wait for your current billing cycle to end.

1

Go to Subscription

Click Subscription in the left sidebar of your dashboard.

2

Click Upgrade Plan

Click the Upgrade Plan or Change Plan button.

3

Select your new plan

Review the plan options and click on the plan you want to upgrade to.

4

Choose Monthly or Yearly billing

Yearly billing is discounted 10% versus paying monthly for 12 months — the checkout page shows the exact amount saved for your plan.

5

Choose how you want to pay

Pick Subscribe & auto-renew (charged automatically each period until you cancel) or One-time payment (pay once, no auto-renewal — you repurchase manually when it expires). See Recurring Billing & Auto-Renewal below for how the auto-renew option works.

6

Choose a payment gateway

Razorpay is recommended — checkout stays on the same page (no redirect), supports UPI, cards, net banking, wallets, and EMI, and is the only gateway available for auto-renewing subscriptions. PayU redirects to its own secure payment page and is only offered for one-time payments.

7

Confirmation

After successful payment, your account is immediately upgraded. A GST-compliant invoice is generated and available in your Subscription page.

How Carry-Forward Days Work

If you upgrade mid-cycle (before your current plan expires), SMLLR calculates the remaining value of your current subscription and adds the equivalent number of days to your new plan.

Example:
- You are on the Basic plan (₹X/month), paid 15 days ago — 15 days remain on your current cycle
- You upgrade to the Pro plan
- SMLLR calculates the value of those remaining 15 Basic days and converts them into Pro days
- Your new Pro subscription effectively starts with those carried-forward days already included

You will never lose money when upgrading mid-cycle.

The carry-forward calculation is shown in the checkout summary before you confirm the upgrade.

Downgrading Your Plan

To downgrade, contact SMLLR support at support@smllr.app. Note that downgrading may result in some features becoming unavailable. For example:
- If you downgrade from Premium to Pro, your custom domain and GPS-exact location tracking will be disabled (landing pages, A/B testing, and other Pro-level features stay active — Pro includes those too)
- QR codes that use features above your new plan's tier will fall back to their default URL

Your data is preserved — if you upgrade again later, disabled features are restored.
