Client Dashboard — Giving Clients Access to Their Data

How to create client profiles, assign campaigns to clients, and give clients a read-only view of their own QR analytics.

What is the Client Dashboard?

The Client Dashboard feature (available on Premium and above) lets agencies and multi-client businesses manage each client as a separate entity inside SMLLR.

With the Client Dashboard you can:
- Create a named client profile in your account
- Assign campaigns and QR codes to that client
- Give the client a read-only login to see only their own data
- Generate client-specific reports that exclude all other clients' data

Your clients never see data from other clients — everything is fully isolated.

The Client Dashboard is ideal for marketing agencies managing QR campaigns for multiple brands, or multi-location businesses that want to give each location's manager access to just their own analytics.

How to Create a Client Profile

1

Go to Clients

Click Clients in the left sidebar of your dashboard.

2

Click + Add Client

Click the + Add Client button.

3

Enter client details

Enter the client's business name and optionally their logo, contact name, and email.

4

Save

Click Save Client. The client profile is created and appears in your Clients list.

Assigning Campaigns and QR Codes to a Client

Once a client profile exists, you can link campaigns and QR codes to it:

From the Campaign settings:
1. Open a campaign in edit mode
2. Find the Client field and select the client from the dropdown
3. Save — the campaign and all its QR codes are now associated with that client

From the QR Code settings:
1. Open a QR code in edit mode
2. Find the Client field and assign it
3. Save

Assigned campaigns and QR codes appear in the client's view when they log in.

Giving a Client Login Access

Clients have Viewer-level access by default — they can see analytics and download reports, but cannot create, edit, or delete any QR codes or campaigns.

1

Open the client profile

Go to Clients and click the client's name.

2

Click Invite Client

Click Invite Client or Add Client Login.

3

Enter their email

Enter the client's email address. They will receive an invitation to create a SMLLR account.

4

Client accepts the invite

The client clicks the link in the invite email, creates their login, and is taken straight to their own read-only dashboard — showing only the campaigns and QR codes assigned to them.

Generating Client-Specific Reports

When you generate an analytics export or a PDF report from the Reporting section, you can filter by client:
1. Go to Reporting in the left sidebar
2. Use the Client filter to select a specific client
3. All charts, tables, and metrics update to show only that client's data
4. Click Export to generate a CSV or PDF scoped to that client

PDF reports exported this way are branded with SMLLR's design by default. On Enterprise plans, white-label reports carry your agency's branding instead.
