Analytics Overview — Understanding Your Dashboard

A complete guide to the SMLLR analytics dashboard — what every metric means and how to read your data.

What Analytics Does SMLLR Track?

Every time someone scans one of your SMLLR QR codes, the following data is automatically recorded:

  • Date and time of the scan
  • Device type (phone, tablet, desktop)
  • Operating system (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS)
  • Browser used
  • Approximate location (city, state, country) derived from IP address
  • Unique vs repeat scan — whether this is a new visitor or someone who has scanned before
  • Bot/fraud flag — whether the scan was from a bot or automated tool

All of this is available in your Reporting dashboard with no setup required.

How to Access Analytics

1

Go to Reporting

Click Reporting in the left sidebar of your dashboard. This is the main analytics dashboard for all your QR codes combined.

2

Or view per-QR analytics

To see analytics for a single QR code, go to QR Codes, click a specific QR code, and then click the Analytics tab on the QR detail page.

3

Or view per-campaign analytics

To see analytics for a campaign (all QR codes inside it), go to Campaigns, click a campaign, and view its analytics.

All charts and tables update instantly when you change the date filter.
