WiFi
Create a QR code that automatically connects the scanner to your WiFi network — no password typing needed.
What is It?
The WiFi CTA creates a QR code that, when scanned, automatically prompts the scanner's phone to connect to your WiFi network. On Android, it connects automatically. On iOS (iOS 11+), it shows the network name and password with a one-tap connect button.
The customer does not need to type the password — they just scan and connect.
When to Use It
Restaurants, cafés, and hotels offering WiFi to guests
Co-working spaces
Retail stores with customer WiFi
Event venues
Offices providing guest WiFi
How to Set It Up
Select 'WiFi'
Choose WiFi from the CTA type list.
Enter the network name (SSID)
Type the exact name of your WiFi network as it appears in the WiFi settings list. This is case-sensitive.
Enter the password
Type the WiFi password. This is encoded inside the QR code — the raw password is not visible unless someone screenshots and analyses the QR code.
Select the security type
Choose the security protocol your router uses — WPA/WPA2 is the most common for modern routers. Choose WEP for older routers, or None for open networks.
Hidden network (optional)
If your WiFi network's SSID is hidden (not broadcast publicly), tick the Hidden Network checkbox.
Save and test
Save, then scan with a phone that is NOT currently connected to the network to verify the connection prompt appears.
WiFi Security Note
The WiFi password is stored inside the QR code pattern itself, encrypted in a standard format. Anyone with a QR scanner app can theoretically decode the QR and see the SSID and password. For guest WiFi, this is generally acceptable. For sensitive internal networks, consider using a separate guest SSID.
