QR Code CTA Types

Google Pay

Create a QR code that launches Google Pay directly with your payment details pre-filled.

What is It?

The Google Pay CTA creates a QR code specifically formatted to open Google Pay on the scanner's device and pre-fill your payment details. It works on both Android (native Google Pay app) and iOS.

When to Use It

  • Businesses whose customers predominantly use Google Pay

  • Quick checkout at physical retail counters

  • Accepting payments without a POS terminal

How to Set It Up

1

Select 'Google Pay'

Choose Google Pay from the CTA type list.

2

Enter your UPI ID

Enter the UPI ID linked to your Google Pay account.

3

Set amount and note (optional)

As with UPI Payment, you can pre-fill an amount and a payment description.

4

Save and test

Test on a phone that has Google Pay installed.

Note on UPI vs Google Pay CTA

The UPI Payment CTA allows the payer to choose any UPI app. The Google Pay CTA is formatted to deep-link specifically into the Google Pay app. Use UPI Payment for broader compatibility, and Google Pay when your customers are predominantly Google Pay users.
